New York TimesPhoto Shoot with Snap Productions

On Friday July 25th, the New York Times visited our studio for a fun life styles shoot. They took advantage of everything Bennett Media Studio has to offer from the kitchen and living room to the downstairs production area. They even utilized the roof and the beautiful weather we were having. Photographer was John Ragel.

The morning light was perfect for John’s style of shooting.

The downstairs area was home to production, styling, wardrobe, makeup, and catering. Makeup artist Bryan Lynde styles model, Miss USA contestant Catherine Kim

In the afternoon the crew headed to the roof for a real New York City feel. Music added to the atmosphere. The view wasn’t too bad either.

Ice Ice Samsung

Part of Samsung's Holiday in July was a two 3000 pound ice sculptures, created by Okamoto Studio in Brooklyn. The ice setup began at 5:45am on Wednesday and Thursday. They built the sculpture from pre cut and shaped blocks right in the living room. After the cocktail party on Wednesday, they took down down the sculpture and started again on Thursday morning. With over 20 trips up the elevator, you could say that was a lot of ice.

Set up in the morning

The ice sculpture fully set up. The sculpture included Samsung products frozen in the ice as presents. Samsungs mp3 player, the pebble, even started as Christmas tree ornaments.

While the room was a bit chilly, it created quite the atmosphere with in the living room.

Cool Products from Samsung

From Camcorders, mp3 players, and televisions, to demonstrations on how their backlit LED lights make a superior quality, Samsung showed it all. There was even a non disclosure room. Sorry no photographs on those products. Lets just say, “look out for Samsung.”

Samsung’s Holiday in July

Samsung held their annual product demonstration on the East Coast at our exclusive Bennett Media Studio. It was quite the event; with ice sculptures, top notch catering, top executives from major electronic outlets, press from every media organizations, and oh yeah, really cool Samsung products! With help from MWW Group, VCI Exhibits and Park Avenue Catering, Samsung transformed every area Bennett Media Studio.

There were product areas

Grand Entrances:

Executive Boardrooms:

Cocktail areas:

Places to sit and relax and write reviews and emails:

And of course, there was lots of behind the scenes staging areas.

The cocktail party on Wednesday was a huge success.

Only An Angel Can Save Me Now

Inspired by a feature film "Holly", I have become passionate about the huge problem of Child Trafficking for Prostitution. Unicef estimates it effects 2 million kids, aged 5 to 17, mostly girls, whose lives usually are placed in horrible inhumane and deadly jeopardy. The outright sale of these children by their parents happens pervasively throughout the poorest parts of the world .
And for different reasons, child prostitution happens all over the USA as well. We are not immune PBS
Think how many of these little people will survive rape, physical and psychological abuse and, perhaps worse, the almost inevitable scourge of AIDS.

My heart led me to write a song called " Only An Angel Can Save Me Now", and collaborate with other singers on this song.
I have here an English version ( co-written by May Ling) and a Vietnamese version ( co-written by MinhTu Van and Julie Nguyen).
I would love for this song to be sung in all the languages around the world.

Vanessa Carlton Salon- Culture Catch Event

Bennett Media Studio was the stage for a private Vanessa Carlton concert.
It was also a podcast presented in 5.1 surround sound!

JAWBONE presented the CULTURE CATCH MUSIC SALON with MS. VANESSA CARLTON -- an evening of champagne, food, music and smart conversation.

This extraordinary night of music and talk affords a select group of invited VIPs an unprecedented opportunity to discuss in an informal and casual setting the impact of music and the cultural significance it may or may not have on our society. We're looking for the integrity of the musician and their symbiotic relationship with our culture.

The evening was featured on New York Magazine's website.
